Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced database coordinator to join this leading city centre organisation, you will be responsible for the management of the in house database and supporting it's users.
Duties will include:
Continually assessing and improving current practices and processes.
Selling in the benefits of InterAction, and all the other Marketing IT systems, and encouraging usage across the EMEA & Asia business.
User support including; Answering queries, sorting out errors, etc.
Training users.
Carrying out complex searches and suggesting ways of carrying out work.
Working alongside other departments to identify specific needs and the best way to achieve aims.
Using the E-broadcast software (ReAction Server), to create templates for users, and create response web pages, utilising HTML.
Working closely with the Database Assistant, and supervising their tasks.
Managing and implanting projects that improve the systems usage, quality, or processes.
Making sure that the Events & Mailing protocol is followed and enforcing the Data Protection Act, and that all processes are followed, and all necessary contact permissions are captured and maintained.
Working closely with the IT Learning team to ensure all training materials are up to date and relevant.
Liaising closely with ITS, regarding Marketing's systems, and any changes, issues, developments, and keeping all users informed of such changes.
Skills
Graduate, preferable numerical.
Analytical, logical nature.
2 to 3 years experience in a database environment.
Good communication skills - happy to present to teams or a one-to-one basis, and persuade users to utilise the tools that they have.
Confident and personable manner.
Very good interpersonal skills - good at dealing with users on the phone and offering support, comfortable in training users, can gain customers trust, and sell in ideas.
Self starter - can motivate themselves.
Has plenty of initiative - they are happy to investigate problems, or work on a project with a minimum of guidance.
Likes to challenge the status quo - permanently seeks improvement.
InterAction experience and HTML knowledge are an advantage.
